Vitamin E tocotrienols

Drs. Andrew Weil and Mehmet Oz recommend Vitamin E tocotrienols

Renowned natural health and wellness authority Andrew Weil, MD, appeared on the Dr. Oz show recently to reveal his top 5 Holistic Secrets. Dr. Weil recommends that both Vitamin E tocopherols and tocotrienols be included in your daily antioxidant cocktail. Your goal should be to consume 400 IUs a day.

Few people realize that most Vitamin E supplements contain only tocopherols. Vitamin E tocotrienols are nutrients which function completely differently than tocopherols. When the brain is attacked by a stroke, cardiovascular disease or trauma, dangerously toxic substances can build up around the nerve cells. These toxic substances can damage those cells or cause them to die. Emerging research shows that one particular tocotrienol, called alpha tocotrienol, can lessen that damage.

Malaysian Palm Fruit Oil is rich in alpha tocotrienols, and is also a source for Vitamin E tocopherols and the antioxidant beta carotene.
