Expert tells Chicago TV news anchors that some saturated fats are healthy

Rogue Nutritionist Jonny Bowden recently encouraged Chicago TV viewers to switch from inflammatory vegetable oils to non-GMO Malaysian palm fruit oil. “We’ve been misled about saturated fats,” claimed Bowden during a WGN 9 Morning News interview. He explained that saturated fats from whole food sources are important for heart health and weight loss. Sustainable Malaysian red palm fruit oil gets its deep, red hue from antioxidants known as beta-carotenes. Bowden continued to say that Malaysian palm fruit oil’s high smoke point keeps it from breaking down into trans fats when heated. Flavor-neutral palm fruit oil is an ingredient in many products and can be found at Whole Foods and many ethnic markets.
