Sirius XM Radio show discusses Malaysian palm fruit oil’s heart- and brain-health benefits

Radio listeners across the country learned health benefits to varying their cooking oils when Doctor Radio’s Dr. Samantha Heller interviewed registered dietitian Dr. Felicia Stoler about ways to balance cholesterol levels. “We can’t just eat all monounsaturated fatty acids,” stated Stoler, the author of Living Skinny in Fat Genes. She recommended Malaysian palm fruit oil because “it’s nature’s number one source of vitamin E and tocotrienols.” Among other health benefits, tocotrienols may help protect the brain from injury in case of a stroke. Sustainable Malaysian palm fruit oil is also rich in antioxidants. Stoler encouraged people to keep a variety of oils on hand. “There’s a time and a place for them … There’s different uses for them, whether it be flavor properties or cooking properties.”

Felicia Stoler is a member of Media Relations Inc.’s panel of highly respected third-party experts. She is compensated to express her own professional opinions, through the media, about certain products.
