KCRA 3 News cooks up heart-healthy fried foods with healthy Malaysian palm fruit oil

Malaysian palm fruit oil can make fried foods healthier, says Chef Gerard Viverito. He stopped by the KCRA 3 News room in Sacramento, California to educate viewers on heart-healthy cooking.

We’re pleased that culinary educator Chef Viverito let viewers know they can still indulge in their favorite foods. As he was frying latkes in Malaysian palm fruit oil, Chef Viverito addressed concerns of cooking with oil by citing some impressive stats. Malaysian palm fruit oil is naturally trans-fat free. It has a fat balance that does not raise cholesterol levels. Bonus: it can cook in very high heat, unlike olive oil.
