Listeners to Voice of America’s Family First radio show recently heard award-winning pharmacist and author Sherry Torkos extolling the virtues of Malaysian Palm Fruit Oil. She explained that this healthy oil helps to raise HDL (good cholesterol) while having a neutral effect on bad cholesterol (LDL). She also gave a great explanation of palm fruit oil’s potent nutritional benefits, including the fact that it contains the highest amount of vitamin E tocotrienols and that it also is a good source of beta carotene.
Palm fruit oil is better for cooking than olive oil. There are also many products made with palm fruit oil including Smart Balance peanut butter.
