After months of families being cooped up at home eating comfort foods, some families may be looking for a plan to get back into a healthier lifestyle. Emergency room and sports physician Ara Suppiah MD gave LA Mom Magazine great advice that includes consuming more of the cooking oil from his native Malaysia: certified sustainable palm oil

“We want healthy fats such as butter, palm oil and olive oil. Palm oil is cholesterol-neutral and is nature’s richest source of vitamin E tocotrienols, which help in maintaining brain and liver health. Malaysian palm oil is certified as sustainably produced. It can be found in specialty grocery stores and online,” he explained.
