In his article that appeared in The360 magazine, emergency room physician Ara Suppiah, MD encouraged readers to take steps to manage their inflammatory response. This is critical, he explained, to supporting a healthy immune system. The Malaysia-born physician suggested stocking up on Malaysian certified sustainable palm oil. “It contains less inflammatory omega 6s than most commonly used seed oils such as canola, sunflower or corn oil. Plus it is rich in natural antioxidants, such as vitamin E tocotrienols. And, it also won’t break down into toxic substances when you cook with it at any temperature under its smoke point,” he wrote.
