Dry, cracked skin doesn’t just look bad. It may also increase your risk of some types of infection. To keep your trillions of skin cells healthy, functional medicine expert Bryce Wylde recommends nurturing them from the inside. During an interview on CityLine TV, Wylde suggested ditching vegetable oils. Instead, look for healthy oils such as Malaysian certified sustainable palm oil. The magic inside the red palm oil, he told the audience, are tocotrienols and beta carotene. “These antioxidants are so healthy for your skin!” he exclaimed.
