In an article for New Food magazine, food scientists Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and Vinay Singh described how various food sectors are using blockchain technology to improve trust and transparency in the food industry, and reduce food fraud. Referencing the Malaysian palm oil industry’s new blockchain app, they wrote, “This automatically creates an end-to-end digital database, enhancing transparency, accuracy and credibility for stakeholders and end customers.” The authors linked to an article in that details the Malaysian blockchain story.
