We’re so happy Chef Gerard Viverito included healthy Malaysian palm fruit oil in his sustainable, global meal!
We’re proud to say Malaysian palm fruit oil is sustainably harvested. This oil also perked up the other ingredients in Chef Viverito’s recipe to make a truly delicious meal. The wahoo (fish) was marinated in Malaysian palm fruit oil – the high heat point gave the fish a nice sear. Chef Viverito used the vibrant red Malaysian palm fruit oil to flavor his panzanella salad. The bright red oil (colored from beta carotene) paired well with colorful vegetables.
Not only was the meal sourced from global ingredients, but healthy ones too! Malaysian palm fruit oil is rich in vitamins such as Vitamin E tocotrienols.
Chef Gerard Viverito, is an culinary instructor as the Director of Culinary Education for Passionfish, a NGO non-profit organization dedicated to educating people around the globe on the issue of sustainability in the seas. He is also operator of Saveur Fine Catering.
