If you’ve been struggling to find the motivation to work out so you can lose the weight gained during the pandemic (AKA the “quarantine 15”), nutritional expert and endurance athlete Shawn Talbott, Ph.D. told FOX-TV Chicago viewers that eating better may make you more inclined to get moving. “New research suggests we can harness something called the gut/brain access so that we’re actually craving healthier foods, we’re craving movement (and) we’re craving going back to the gym.” He explained that mango and palm fruit have “really cool collections of flavonoids and polyphenols” that have been studied at MIT for improving mood and motivation. Nutrients derived from Malaysian certified sustainable palm oil are also available in dietary supplements.
