Here’s a shocker: Healthy fats won’t make you fat; they play a role in weight loss. Appearing on Cincinnati’s FOX TV News, Nutrition Myth Buster Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., CNS, cautioned that if you still believe some common nutrition myths, you may be stocking up on foods that are making you fat, sick, tired and depressed. “Palm oil is one of the healthiest oils,” he said, adding that it is sustainably produced in Malaysia, a country that is protective of the environment. Bowden says he uses Malaysian certified sustainable palm oil to make marinades, and shared his quick and easy recipe for an upscale, healthy palm oil mayonnaise.
