It’s possible to lower your cholesterol with food. You’re probably just buying the wrong food. Appearing on ABC affiliate KATU in Portland, OR, nutrition expert Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., CNS said most people are confused by what it means to eat properly.  The author of “The Most Effective Ways to Live Longer” explained there is massive research demonstrating that preventing heart disease and lowering cholesterol are not the same thing. Inflammation is the number-one promoter of heart disease. “Way more than cholesterol!” he said.

Bowden advised audiences to replace the inflammatory vegetable oils in their diets with certified sustainable Malaysian palm oil. “It contains good saturated fat and is not inflammatory.”
