Fox viewers learned about sustainable Malaysian palm fruit oil during a segment of the popular Daytime @ Nine TV show. The largest producer of Certified Sustainable Palm Oil, the Malaysian palm oil industry works hard to protect its country’s breathtaking rain forests and diverse wildlife. Chef Gerard Viverito of Passionfish, a nonprofit specializing in sustainable seafood, prepared a sea scallop ceviche and told host Cassandra Lazenby, “I always source out sustainable ingredients.” Chef Gerard also loves Malaysian palm fruit oil because of the carotenes that give the oil its red hue and its nutritious tocotrienols.
