Tara Pittman, the mom behind the scenes of the popular Mom Knows Best website, enjoys cooking and sharing healthy products with her followers. In one of her latest blogs, she said that she substituted Malaysian palm oil for olive oil in The Pioneer Woman’s Brussels Sprouts recipe because it gave the dish a nice buttery taste as well as extra health benefits. “I discovered palm oil at a conference that I went to last month and I really loved the way it tasted on popcorn,” she wrote, adding, “Malaysian palm oil has a natural source of Carotenoids & Vitamin E as well as fatty acids and other important fat-soluble micronutrients.”
