Women gain an average of 10 to 15 pounds during menopause. This can cause them to cut fats from their diets, but holistic nutritionist Andrea Donsky (who is also going through menopause)  advises against that. During a CityLine national TV appearance, she explained that weight gain is mostly due to blood sugar spikes, and good-for-you fats such as Malaysian certified sustainable palm oil are beneficial to a healthy diet. “Fats have zero impact on blood sugar levels,” she confirmed.
