Appearing from his home, Nutrition Myth Buster Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., CNS said real food, the right supplements and a good attitude are essential. “The American diet sets us up to be more vulnerable to these kinds of challenges,” he explained. “It’s highly inflammatory.” Gesturing to a table filled with fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and Malaysian palm oil, he pointed out that each is a real food that is also anti-inflammatory. He added that Malaysian palm oil, “Stands up to high heat. It’s fairly taste-free. And it’s rich in carotenoids and tocotrienols.”
