Eating nutrient-packed food during the winter may help you stay healthy in mind and body. When he appeared on Charlotte’s CBS station, WBTV, nutrition expert Jonny Bowden, PhD, CNS shared a few of his favorites. “We all tend to get run down during the winter,” he explained adding that some foods may help keep you resilient.

Bowden stressed the importance of consuming healthy fats. “There are so many good things in fats that we need,” he explained, adding that Malaysian palm oil contains tocotrienols. This less-common form of vitamin E is a super potent antioxidant known to support skin and brain health.
