The Malaysian Palm Oil Wildlife Conservation Fund worked with the wildlife department to establish this organization which supports conservation efforts along with rescuing endangered wildlife. Their highly trained rangers have completed more than 100 rescue or translocation operations.

When Malaysia announced an aggressive goal of certifying 100% of its palm oil as sustainable by the end of 2019, some may have thought it to be insurmountable. While Malaysian oil palm plantations have traditionally followed sustainability practices for hundreds of years, the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification process is stringent and very thorough.
On oil palm plantations, some trees are top producers and others under-perform. But because the trees mature slowly, growers typically can’t tell the difference until three to four years after planting. Once mature, oil palm trees produce fruit for 20 to 30 years.
