Chef writes about palm oil’s role in trendy Malaysian cuisine

World travel may not always be accessible, but, as Chef Gerard Viverito wrote in this Fairfax County Times article, “cooking to live out an experience” is a way for anyone to take their taste buds on a culinary trip around the world. While living in Southeast Asia, Chef Gerard fell in love with top-trending Malaysian cuisine. He shared his recipe for Curry Laksa No. 2 on Lonely Planet’s list of the world’s top foods to try while explaining that the cuisine relies heavily on Malaysian sustainable palm oil, which is showing up in more U.S. kitchens largely due to its health benefits.
