The comfort foods that have been keeping you company during this pandemic may be making you fat and sick. Perhaps not immediately, but the damage to your health could show up years from now when your blood sugar starts to rise and other blood tests go in the wrong direction. Additionally, Nutrition Myth Buster and best-selling author Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., CNS, warned CBS-TV’s Charlotte, NC audience that vegetable oil is bad for our hearts. “We need to get back to healthy fats such as Malaysian palm oil,” he urged viewers, explaining that it won’t contribute to heart-damaging inflammation. Bowden repeated a similar message during an interview on FOX-TV in Kansas City, MO.
